HOW TO MAKE OATMEAL:
- 1 cup rolled oats
- ½ cup almond milk or any non-dairy milk of your choice
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- ½ apple diced
HOW TO MAKE THE APPLE SAUCE:
- 1 apple peeled and diced
- ¼ cup water
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- ½ lemon juiced
To make apple sauce
In a saucepan, combine diced apples, water, coconut oil, maple syrup, and cinnamon.
Cook over medium heat until the apples are soft (around 5-15 minutes).
Remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes.
Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
To make overnight oats
In a mixing bowl, combine oats, almond milk, applesauce, cinnamon, and maple syrup. Mix well.
Divide the mixture into two jars or containers.
Add diced apple on top of the oat mixture.
Cover and refrigerate overnight.
In the morning, stir the oats with a scoop of applesauce and enjoy!
