Ingredients

HOW TO MAKE OATMEAL:

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup almond milk or any non-dairy milk of your choice
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • ½ apple diced

HOW TO MAKE THE APPLE SAUCE:

  • 1 apple peeled and diced
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ lemon juiced

Instructions

To make apple sauce

  • In a saucepan, combine diced apples, water, coconut oil, maple syrup, and cinnamon.
  • Cook over medium heat until the apples are soft (around 5-15 minutes).
  • Remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to a week.

To make overnight oats

  • In a mixing bowl, combine oats, almond milk, applesauce, cinnamon, and maple syrup. Mix well.
  • Divide the mixture into two jars or containers.
  • Add diced apple on top of the oat mixture.
  • Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  • In the morning, stir the oats with a scoop of applesauce and enjoy!
